Timelines

The 6–12 Timelines are impressionistic Montessori materials designed to support the child’s exploration of history, life, human development and the unfolding of the universe. Rooted in AMI Montessori pedagogy, the timelines present complex concepts in a visual and chronological format that helps the child develop an understanding of sequence, interconnectedness and the passage of time. Used as key materials within Cosmic Education, the timelines inspire curiosity and imagination while supporting research, discussion and independent exploration. Through stories, images and carefully organised information, the materials assist the 6–12 child in constructing a broader understanding of humanity, civilisation and the natural world.
