Nomenclature

The Montessori Nomenclature materials are structured language resources designed to support the child’s exploration and understanding of the world through precise vocabulary and classification. Presented through carefully sequenced cards and labels, the materials isolate the parts, characteristics or classifications of an object, plant, animal, landform or scientific concept, enabling the child to build knowledge through observation, comparison and language.
